The Hall of Fame honors contributions to baseball through three awards. The honorees are celebrated on Hall of Fame Weekend during the Awards Presentation, the Saturday before the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and added to permanent exhibits in the Museum.
The Hall of Fame Awards Presentation is held at Doubleday Field. The one-hour program features the presentation of the J.G. Taylor Spink Award for meritorious contributions to baseball writing, the Ford C. Frick Award for broadcast excellence, and the Buck O’Neil Lifetime Achievement Award. The returning Hall of Famers watch the Awards Presentation from seats on the Doubleday Field stage.
The Awards Presentation is free and open to the public.
